The Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance is guided by a powerhouse team fueled by a shared passion for sustainable development and elevating philanthropy across the region. Our esteemed Board of Directors brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the table. Dr. Rosalea Hamilton, our Board Chair and Co-Chair of the Governance Committee, sets the tone with her impressive career policy, philanthropy and law. Joining her are dedicated leaders like Susan Taylor-Batten, who chairs the Resource Development Committee, and Milton Speid, who heads the Finance & Audit Committee . Rounding out this dynamic group are Dr. Michele D. Singh, Deanna James, and Milton Samuda, who co-chair the Membership & Outreach Committee, and Milton Samuda, Co-Chair of the Governance Committee.

Diana works with the CEO and Chair of the Board, and provides vital support across governance, operations, and programs. She assists the Board of Directors with planning and ensuring legal compliance. Her responsibilities include managing operational procedures, procurement, human resources and financial matters. Diana has proven indispensable in organizing, scheduling, managing data, and coordinating regional projects across the Caribbean. She has a background in Management Studies, Data Entry and Business Administration.

Barbara White provides financial and human resources oversight and serves as the Accountant for the Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance (CariPhilAlliance). She ensures fiscal compliance and audits meet the requirements of external donors and funders. Her role is crucial in developing strategic financial objectives that align with the organization's mission. Barbara has a robust background working with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations with an expertise in fiscal management, grants and contracts reporting and compliance, strategic planning, and tax preparation services.

Project Manager, Funder Database Platform & Projects

Dwayne Gutzmer provides strategic direction and optimizes data operations for philanthropy involvement, investment including stakeholder engagement. Dwayne blends his skills in information technology, data science and entrepreneurship to effectively provide project and financial management. He also supports the development of innovative business solutions for regional networks of entrepreneurs, and non-governmental organizations and other stakeholders. He has a background in Computing and Information Technology and postgraduate Data Science training.

Regional Youth Leader, Youth Hub

Jamila Falak coordinates the Youth Hub and spearheads initiatives that empower young people to drive positive change across the Caribbean. Jamila’s leadership is marked by her commitment to fostering collaboration, philanthropy, creative innovation and dedication to inspire youth to become active participants in building a better future for the region. Jamila Falak is also a dynamic musician, creative entrepreneur, activist, and philanthropist. With a passion for blending art and advocacy, she uses her musical and other creative talents to inspire and drive social change.

Talya Mohammed

Regional Project Specialist

Talya Mohammed provides project coordination and leads socio-environmental projects including the delivery of various capacity building projects across the region. She guides regional engagement with network stakeholders and guides their design and management of sustainability projects or initiatives. She has two decades of experience in environmental science and project management of sustainability projects emphasizing community co-creation, communication and educational strategies.

Norval Mendez provides top-tier IT solutions and develops technology communications and infrastructure for administration, regional networks including member and stakeholder communities. He is based in Jamaica with over six years in the industry and is certified by multiple international bodies and institutions.

Christopher Andrews

Social Media

Christopher Andrews guides the development of social media management and content creation networking platforms to optimize organizational content. He contributes towards archiving, brand development, data management, digital migration of organizational assets, website development and creating social media platforms for cohesive and engaging content. For over ten years, he has worked as a multimedia generalist and web developer.

Caribbean Alliance Council
A network of philanthropic partners across the Caribbean region who join under the Giving Affiliate Membership as a member or as a contributor. CariPhilAlliance will facilitate Communities of Practice that promotes trust-based philanthropy practices, offers training in philanthropy for emerging leaders with connections to the regional network that implements accelerated actions.
Emerging Leaders & Youth Hub
Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance supports youth and expands to develop an Emerging Leaders cohort who are positioned or already engaged in philanthropic actions and will be selected to be part of Communities of Practice that promote evidence-based practices. Youth currently involved in broadly supporting and implementing actions to facilitate all 17 SDGs will be considered for the Emerging Leaders cohort.
Regional Network
Regional Networks are made up of implementing supporters that represent locally based non-governmental agencies and diverse, including indigenous stakeholders who facilitate community-centered solutions, accelerated actions, and regional initiatives. Led by regional and national coordinators who support networks and/or designated.
