Caribbean Tree Planting Project

Several initiatives are being organized across the world to mitigate climate impacts by planting 950 million hectares of new forests to limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5-degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit). To play our part in this global initiative, we, at the CTPP, have committed to achieving the following objectives:

  • to plant at least 1 million trees and engage related climate action in at least 10 Caribbean countries;
  • to promote climate change activism among Caribbean Youth and the Caribbean Diaspora;
  • and to continuously highlight that multi-stakeholder partnerships and collaborative actions are required to accelerate the achievement of SDGs, especially SDGs 13 (Climate Action) & 15 (Life on Land)
