Giving Affiliate Option

Foundation

Foundation includes private independent and family foundations, generally founded by an individual, family or group of individuals. Also includes grant-making organizations that raise and administer funds from various individual and organizational donors.

Corporate Entity or CSR Representative

Giving programme includes corporate foundations and corporate social responsibility (CSR) giving programmes that are funded by companies as separate legal entities.

Giving Affiliate Members can join and access:

  • Caribbean Alliance Council: Funders and grantmakers meet in this dedicated convening space who share similar interests, funding priorities and explore partnership opportunities for greater impact.
  • Communities of Practice: Peer to Peer networking and curated learning spaces to advance and improve members grantmaking and deepen knowledge through training & discussions on effective philanthropy.
  • Collaborative Philanthropy: Opportunities for funders (members) and implementing supporters who are active in regional networks, and who are part of a broader regional community to meet, partner and identify solutions together and increase impact.
  • Funder Convenings: Occur throughout the year, and funders discuss emerging trends and critical topics shaping philanthropy.

Caribbean Alliance Council

If you are interested in deepening your philanthropic impact, join the Caribbean Alliance Council. The Caribbean Alliance Council is a premier convening space to elevate grantmaking practices within the Caribbean and shape the future of philanthropy. The Council is created for grantmakers and persons working in philanthropy to exchange information, learn from each other, and meet peers in the field, and who have similar job responsibilities.

Here, funders come together to :


  • Partner & Collaborate: Explore opportunities to pool resources, co-fund initiatives, and maximize impact through scaling evidenced-based philanthropic practices together.
  • Transform Grantmaking Practices: Move beyond short-term funding models. Explore innovative approaches that foster long-term sustainability and empower Caribbean communities.
  • Champion Equity and Inclusion: Develop collaborative grantmaking strategies that prioritize diverse voices and address the unique needs of the region and work to drive collaborative philanthropy and trust-based philanthropy strategies.

Participation in this Council involves signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize commitment to the Council. Please reach out to the staff.

Implementing Supporter Option:

This unique category encompasses a wide range of groups, from non-governmental organizations, community foundations, academic institutions, business or civic associations. As an Implementing Supporter, you'll play a vital role in strengthening philanthropy across the Caribbean by supporting our overall mission or specific initiatives.

Industry Supporter

An industry supporter is a non-grant maker which includes non-profit organizations, cooperatives, community foundations, and incorporated entities that provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) services or deliver a diversity of social, health, educational, agricultural and other services within the Caribbean region and/or operates as an organizational stakeholder within the region.

Individual Supporter

An individual supporter operates as a sole - practitioner that provides a range of services within the Caribbean. region and/or operates as an independent stakeholder within the Caribbean region. These individuals are also passionate about advancing Caribbean philanthropic causes and organizations actively providing tangible assistance for philanthropic development.

Change Makers

By offering this category that is not fee-based, we ensure that youth, organizations, associations, and groups with varying resources can participate and engage with our community. Our focus remains on fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective impact, prioritizing the invaluable contributions and perspectives of all supporters and change makers.

ACCELERATE ACTION & EMPOWER FOR THE FUTURE

Implementing Supporters can join and access:

  • Regional Networks: Regional leaders and stakeholders meet face to face or online to plan impactful actions, activities and address critical issues like women's empowerment including policy frameworks such Escazu Agreements to drive holistic regional development across 22 countries.
  • Emerging Leaders & Youth Hub: Empowers the next generation of changemakers and passionate young people can develop their philanthropic vision, gain valuable skills, fuel ideas, and connect with philanthropic leaders, mentors and resources. Learn more

You'll join a vibrant regional network of mission-driven organizations across all 22 Caribbean nations. These include NGOs, business associations, community foundations, civic institutions, sole proprietors, and individual youth changemakers. Together they work to fuel collaborative action and tackle critical regional challenges.

  • Engage in action-oriented sessions: Participate in online and regional workshops focused on critical SDG initiatives relevant to your work.
  • Network and forge partnerships: Build relationships with peers, strategize together, and collaborate on impactful projects that drive positive change.
