Tech2Empower Caribbean

Empowering Women Through Technology: A Collaborative Effort

The Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance is proud to partner with WAKE Tech2Empower Caribbean initiative. This program fosters collaboration between Caribbean environmental justice leaders and volunteer advisors from leading tech companies. Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance identified over 30 organizations for selection and Tech2Empower Caribbean through a selection process selected (six) exemplary women-led organizations.

Through a blend of in-person and virtual interaction, the program offers valuable support to women on the frontlines of the environmental movement:

  • Free Technical Assistance: Volunteer advisors provide expertise, training, and tools to help NGOs strengthen their impact.
  • Capacity Building: The program equips women leaders with the skills and resources they need to leverage technology for their environmental justice work.
  • Mutual Learning: Volunteer advisors gain a deeper understanding of climate action in the Caribbean and the critical role women play in leading social change.
Tech2Empower Caribbean showcased the power of collaboration. By connecting women leaders with tech expertise and moving (six) organizations led by women closer to achieving their missions across the Caribbean through technology advisory support and support.

Here's how the program empowered women leaders:

Connecting Expertise

The program leveraged both online and in-person interactions to connect volunteer tech advisors with Caribbean environmental justice leaders. This fostered valuable knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Mutual Learning and Growth

The program went beyond one-way assistance. It created a space for mutual learning and cultural exchange, enriching both the advisors and NGO partners. This holistic approach led to a deeper understanding of environmental justice challenges in the Caribbean.

Building Capacity for Impact

Tech2Empower Caribbean didn't stop at the connection. The program offered tailored training, coaching, and services specifically designed to equip women-led NGOs and social enterprises with the tools and expertise they need to make a real difference.

Programme focused on mentorship of high school or secondary school girls entering the world of work attending sixth form & Caribbean Philanthropic Alliance worked with local national coordinating organizations Bridge Foundation & NIHERST.
