Several initiatives are being organized across the world to mitigate climate impacts by planting 950 million hectares of new forests to limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5-degrees Celsius (2.7 degrees Fahrenheit). To play our part in this global initiative, we, at the CTPP, have committed to achieving the following objectives:
The week’s events, under the theme “Protecting Biodiversity and Cultural Heritage in the Caribbean,” aim to build public awareness of the importance of planting trees – a critical part of the region’s environmental and cultural heritage
The engaged philanthropy, civic, youth leaders and non-governmental organizations in support of SDGs #13, #14, and #17. The galvanizing power of regional collaboration has propelled CariPhilAlliance forward and deepened the relationships across multiple sectors and elevated the commitments of CariPhilAlliance growing membership.
