Foundations or Council members and legally registered entities or individuals primarily offering charitable support in the Caribbean, willing to aid in the Alliance’s objectives. These members promote philanthropy in its many forms and contribute to the philanthropy support ecosystem.

Foundation

Foundation includes private independent and family foundations, generally founded by an individual, family or group of individuals. Also includes community foundations, grant making organizations that raise and administer funds from various individual and organizational donors or donors themselves.

Corporate & CSR

This Giving Affiliate category includes corporate foundations, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) giving programs that are funded by companies as separate legal entities.

  • Caribbean Alliance Council: Funders and grantmakers meet in this dedicated convening space who share similar interests, funding priorities and explore partnership opportunities for greater impact.
  • Communities of Practice: Peer to Peer networking and curated learning spaces to advance and improve members grantmaking and deepen knowledge through training & discussions on effective philanthropy.
  • Collaborative Philanthropy: Opportunities for funders (members) and implementing supporters who are active in regional networks, and who are part of a broader regional community to meet, partner and identify solutions together and increase impact.
  • Funder Convenings: Occur throughout the year, and funders discuss emerging trends and critical topics shaping philanthropy.

Caribbean Alliance Council

If you are interested in deepening your philanthropic impact, join the Caribbean Alliance Council. The Caribbean Alliance Council is a premier convening space to elevate grantmaking practices within the Caribbean and shape the future of philanthropy. The Council is created for grantmakers and persons working in philanthropy to exchange information, learn from each other, and meet peers in the field, and who have similar job responsibilities.

  • Partner & Collaborate: Explore opportunities to pool resources, co-fund initiatives, and maximize impact through scaling evidenced-based philanthropic practices together.
  • Transform Grantmaking Practices: Move beyond short-term funding models. Explore innovative approaches that foster long-term sustainability and empower Caribbean communities.
  • Champion Equity and Inclusion: Develop collaborative grantmaking strategies that prioritize diverse voices and address the unique needs of the region and work to drive collaborative philanthropy and trust-based philanthropy strategies.

Participation in this Council involves signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize commitment to the Council. Please reach out to the staff.
